Your data

Financien stores your household financial data in the application database. Access is limited to users you invite to that household.

Files and attachments

We use session cookies and CSRF tokens so you can log in securely and switch dossiers. Uploaded files (attachments) are stored on the server disk for your household only.

Uploads and mail attachments are not stored on a public web folder; they can only be opened after sign-in within your dossier.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies (session, security, language). We do not use Google Analytics or other marketing trackers.

Bank connection (PSD2)

When you connect a bank account via PSD2, we ask your bank for permission to fetch transactions. We never store bank login credentials; only an encrypted session reference and the fetched transactions within your dossier. The connection expires after about 90 days and must be re-authorised at your bank.

Help

Questions to the help chatbot are answered on our servers using rules, FAQ entries, and handbook content. No external AI services are used. Personal dossier data (balances, payments, forecasts) is only read server-side when you are logged in — it is never sent to third parties.
